Because we live in a world filled with leaks, we were not surprised to see that the highly-anticipated Galaxy Note 10 and the upcoming OnePlus 7 Pro were not giving any hints as to whether they would continue their trend of using Qualcomm’s Snapdragon 855 processor. That said, it is still refreshing to see them mixing things up.
Galaxy Note 10 seems to be using the OnePlus’ hero system, The Snapdragon 855 chipset. This would be the first time the Note series would stick with an 855 based Snapdragon, in the hands of Samsung. However, don’t be too confident about this with so little information and still no leaks. We are not sure how long the Snapdragon 855 has to wait on ship to be ready to be used in the Note 10. However, these two updates should give the Note 10 an edge over the OnePlus, at least on paper.
Anyway, the recent leak video on Yi3NI, a site that has high insider status on the Korean tech industry, is yet another clue as to the processor which the Note 10 might use. The Korean tech giants want something that will be faster than the Note 9’s Snapdragon 845. And the most likely choice is to stick with the same Qualcomm chipset. OnePlus, on the other hand, wants something more powerful than the 845.
To come out with a Galaxy Note 10 that cannot live up to the specs of its predecessor might be challenging at best. Now, when the real processor is ready, let’s hope Samsung releases the Note 10 before the OnePlus’ 7 Pro. Otherwise, the two are likely to be locked in a battle of whose processor is the fastest for the foreseeable future.
